JACOB AND WILHELM GRIMM ZENTRUM

Sabine is a German librarian who is interested in augmented reality and “the possibility and advantages it brings for libraries”.  She has sent me this photograph of the Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum, “one of our famous libraries in Berlin “.

It’s the new central library of Humboldt University. The building, which is really closed to the Brandenburg Gate, was opened in October of 2009. It contains over 2 million volumes.

The Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum, named after the famous storytellers, has the largest available on open access library collection in Germany.
